In the study, they took the example of the giant pandas consuming only bamboo. After their extensive research, they found out that these giant pandas consume bamboo because it does bring pleasure to them. When it brings pleasure to them, it actually releases a complication mix of chemicals. One of the chemicals is the dopamine. It is often released when there is a pleasure-reward system that is in place. Dopamine is a good chemical that helps to combat many healthy related issues.

Hence, one of the argument is that when dogs consume grass, it does produce dopamine in them, which in turns does become very rewarding for your dog.
